CALGARY (660 NEWS) – A Nobel Peace Prize Laureate is speaking at a women’s leadership conference in Calgary on Thursday.
Activist Malala Yousafzai will discuss female empowerment when she takes the podium at the Telus Convention Centre.
Yousafzai caught the world’s attention at the age of 15 when she was attacked by the Taliban for her advocacy of girls’ education.
In 2013, she founded the Malala Fund to ensure that every girl is able to complete 12 years of free education, her work later earned her the Nobel Peace Prize.
The Art of Leadership for Women Conference runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
I’m delighted to share that I’ll be interviewing @Malala at the upcoming @TheArtOf events in Calgary (April 4) and Vancouver (April 5). If you could ask Malala a question, what would it be? We’ll be asking the best questions at the events! https://t.co/0G7kizcNB3
