  •  Scuba diving and snorkeling (outdoors)
  •  Horseback riding (outdoors)
  •  Hiking
  •  Surfing

Other non-contact sports that can be done with limited or no access to sanitation facilities include:

  • Track and field (outdoor running and throwing events)
  • Rowing (singles only)
  • Speed canoeing and kayaking (singles only)
  • Outdoor cycling
  • Golfing
  • Sea kayaking
  • Open water swimming (lakes)

Provincial parks will also reopen to allow for outdoor activities to resume.

While things are reopening and the government encourages everyone to get exercise, officials are still warning people to stay within their home region, maintain physical distancing and wash their hands as often as possible.

Additional updates for sports and other recreational activities will be provided at a later date and will include: physical distancing during the activity, location, equipment required, activity context (e.g., non-organized versus supervised training or competition) and travel.
