COVID-19 deaths in Quebec surpass 3,500

MONTREAL (CITYNEWS) – The total number of deaths from COVID-19 in Quebec has now surpassed 3,500.

The province reported 79 new deaths on Sunday afternoon, for a total of 3,562.

Quebec also reported an additional 737 confirmed cases, for a total of 42,920.

There are 1,766 people in hospital, an increase of three. And 183 people are in critical care, an increase of four.

The news comes as Canada hit a milestone today. More than 50 per cent of the country’s total confirmed cases were marked as resolved.

Quebec continues to have the highest number of cases in the country.
