Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine tunnel and Pie-IX bridge closed this weekend

Road work will force the complete closure of the south-bound Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine tunnel and of the Pie-IX bridge in both directions this weekend.

Highway 25 is among the routes to avoid, Transport Quebec has announced.

Drivers wishing to access Longueuil will have to make a detour is via Hochelaga, Dickson and Notre-dame street, René-Lévesque boulevard, Papineau avenue and the Jacques-Cartier bridge.

Highway 25 southbound will be closed between Sherbrooke street and the Île-charron street entrance from 12:30 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday.

In Pointe-Claire, access to boulevard des Sources will be closed from the highway 40 service road eastbound from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

In the Sud-Ouest borough, rue Saint-Antoine Ouest will be closed between rue George-Vanier and avenue Atwater, Saturday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
