A mother whose car went into Rivière des Mille Îles last Friday, with her two young children on board, has died.
Laval police confirm that the 40-year-old woman never regained consciousness since being hospitalized Oct. 28, when the incident occurred.
She had been in the intensive care unit and was disconnected from life support this morning.
The car was submerged, but the mother and a four-year-old girl were rescued.
A one-month-old baby boy was also onboard, and his body only found days later – on Oct. 31.
The daughter was released from hospital, into the care of her father, the night it happened.

Police were hoping to speak with the woman and get more details on what happened, but investigators are still not confirming any theories.
They had been examining whether or not the mother intentionally drove her vehicle into the water with her children.
They say the woman’s death now puts an end to the criminal investigation.
