Alexis Plourde-Dinelle was charged on multiple counts of sexual assault involving minors and Laval police believe there could be more victims of this alleged offender.
The investigation, which started in November, found matches with files from various police forces in Quebec including the Montreal police (SPVM) and the Sûreté du Québec de la MRC de Montcalm.
Plourde-Dinelle, 30,faces charges including sexual assault, luring a minor, enticing a minor to touch himself for a sexual purpose while holding a position of authority and passing sexually explicit material to a minor.
The offenses are said to have occurred between 2011 and 2022, back when the suspect was working as a camp counselor in various regions of Quebec.
It was during this time that police say he would instill a sense of trust with his victims all while upholding a position of authority over the minors – and maintained relationships with them through social media.
He would have allegedly encouraged them to send explicit photos of themselves and even met up with them to have sex.
Plourde-Dinelle was released with several conditions.
