Montreal police make arrests in three arson cases

The Montreal police force (SPVM) have made three arrests in two days in connection to arson fires that occurred in Lasalle, Saint-Laurent and Saint-Leonard.
On May 11, Jupiter Sene, 18, was arrested shortly after a commercial building on Thierry, near Turley, was the target of arson in the Lasalle borough at around 1:15 a.m. A vehicle was used to burn down the business.
Sene appeared in court Thursday and faces charges of arson and break and entering. The investigation is ongoing regarding the implication of another suspect in the case.

On May 10, around 7:40 p.m., a 20-year-old suspect was arrested in Sorel-Tracey for an attempted arson on an industrial building on McCaffrey Street in the Saint-Laurent borough. He was released with a promise to appear in court. Police believe a second suspect was involved in that case as well. The investigation is ongoing.
Also on May 10, Simon Bilodeau, 38, was arrested shortly after a commercial building was lit on fire on Provencher Street in Saint-Leonard. He appeared at the Montreal court house and faces charges of arson and possession of incendiary materials.
The SPVM is asking anyone with information related to these cases to contact police by dialing 911, visiting a police station or by calling Info-Crime at 514 393-1133.
