Basketball tournament makes stop in Montreal

By News Staff

Montreal basketball players got a chance to show off their hoop skills in a tournament Saturday.

The Full Court 21 Canada (FC21CA) tournament stopped in Montreal – after being in Vancouver and Toronto earlier this month.

The tournament at Oscar Peterson Park in Little Burgundy included a skill development camp for young players aged five to 13. There was also programming related to inclusion, diversity and growing the game.

Friday’s conference “Ladies First: celebrating women of colour in sneaker culture and basketball” was all about breaking down barriers.

FC21CA’s next stops are Edmonton and Halifax.
