Quebec police issue warrants in connection to grandparent scam

The Sûreté du Québec says officers from Escouade Nationale de Répression du Crime Organisé (ENRCO) have executed multiple search warrants in connection to a grandparent scam.
SQ says five search warrants were issued for businesses and homes in Notre-Dame-de-l’Île-Perrot, Vaudreuil-Dorion, and Pointe-Claire, as well as a vehicle.

Police say the operation began in August 2022 and involved more than 50 officers.
Police in both Ontario and Quebec have previously arrested people in connection to the grandparent scam.
