Man stabbed in Montreal’s Côte-des-Neiges

A 32-year-old man had to be rushed to hospital after being stabbed in Montreal overnight.

The incident occurred around 2:35 a.m. on Chemin de la Côte-Sainte-Catherine, near Lavoie Street, in the Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce borough.

When police arrived on scene following a 911 call, they spotted the man who was injured in the upper body. He had apparently been assaulted with a sharp object.

The man was transported to a hospital in a condition considered “serious.” As of Monday morning, Montreal police were still awaiting an update on his condition.

The motive for the attack is still unknown, and no arrests have been made so far.

An investigation is ongoing.
