Three injured after car hits building in Longueuil

Three people were injured Monday night in Longueuil when their vehicle crashed into the front of a residential building on Place Charles-Le Moyne.

The driver and two passengers – were transported to hospital – with a man in his 30s being brought in with critical injuries.

According Longueuil Police (SPAL), the collision occurred around 10 p.m. on Monday in the Vieux-Longueuil area.

For reasons that were not immediately specified, the driver of the vehicle, a man in his 20s, allegedly hit the front of the residential building.

He was taken to hospital, as were the two passengers who were also in the vehicle, a man and a woman.

The SPAL will lead the investigation into this event in conjunction with investigators to recreate the scene from the Sûreté du Québec.

A security perimeter was set up around Place Charles-Le Moyne, but it has since been lifted.

“The investigation is still ongoing to determine the circumstances of this event and determine whether there is a criminal dimension or not,” wrote the SPAL on Facebook.
