21K de Montréal kicks off running season in the city with great success

Despite the rain, 7,500 runners showed up at the 21K de Montréal this morning, ready to run because of their passion for the sport. They completed their race through Parc Jean-Drapeau with energy and determination, marking the start of the city’s running season.

“It’s such an emotional experience to see the runners take off together, motivated and ready to tackle the challenge,” says Alex Ratthé, Executive Producer at Courons MTL. “Courons MTL is proud to showcase running by bringing together thousands of passionate individuals around the values of perseverance and inclusion. From the 21K de Montréal to the Beneva Marathon of Montreal, we are creating more than just sports events: we are building a true community.”

With a range of events — from the Mile to the half marathon — the race once again confirmed its status as a key event to kick off the season. The charitable aspect was also well represented: 50 organizations participated in the Charity Challenge, aiming to raise $900,000. Donations can be made until May 31.

To check the results of the brave participants, simply log into the official Courons MTL app (available on the App Store and Google Play).
