Sunshine on its way for Montreal, just in time for Mother’s Day

Sunshine is forecasted to shine over Montreal on Sunday — and most of next week — just in time for Mother’s Day.

But before that beautiful weather comes in, rain is trickling over the city.

Showers began early Friday morning, with a high of 9°C.

Tonight, the wet weather remains and the temperature staying steady near 9°C.

Come Saturday, the rain is expected to continue. According to Environment and Climate Change Canada, the day will start with periods of rain that should end in the afternoon — then a mix of sun and cloud is forecasted with a daytime high of 14°C.

As many are showering their mom’s with love on Sunday — no showers are in the forecast.

Mother’s Day is set to be a sunshine-filled day, with a high of 16°C.

The mercury then skyrocketing for Monday and Tuesday next week.

As of now, sunshine and a high of 24°C expected for Monday.

Come Tuesday, get your sunscreen – more sunshine and a daytime high of 29°C is in the forecast.

The weather agency is then predicting that the warm weather will stick throughout the rest of the week, but clouds will hover over the city — shading us for a little break from the highly anticipated sunshine.
