Cyclist in critical condition, hit by car in Côte-Des-Neiges—NDG

A 23-year-old cyclist is in critical condition after he was hit by car in Côte-Des-Neiges—Notre-Dame-De-Grâce on Tuesday morning.

Montreal police (SPVM) say the victim was taken to hospital with a non-life-threatening head injury, but his condition deteriorated and is now in critical condition.

The collision happened at around 8:20 a.m. – near the intersection of Lacombe Ave. and Lemieux Street – according to SPVM spokesperson Véronique Dubuc.

The cyclist was struck while crossing the street.

The 56-year-old male driver was not injured.

The file has been transferred to the SPVM’s collision investigation unit.
