Car crashes into house in Boucherville

South Shore police are searching for a driver who crashed his vehicle into a house in Boucherville on Sunday evening before fleeing on foot.

The residence is located on Marie-Victorin Blvd.

Longueuil Police (SPAL) reported no one was injured.

The police force stated that the collision occurred around 10:10 p.m. The impact caused damage to the facade of the residence and the grounds.

“Everything suggests that speed and alcohol were factors, but the investigation will determine the exact causes of the collision,” said officer Mélanie Mercille, spokesperson for SPAL.

The wanted driver, who fled on foot on Marie-Victorin Blvd., is believed to be around 30-year-old.

“Officers are looking for the man in order to arrest him,” confirmed Officer Mercille.

A security perimeter was erected during the investigation.
