Shots fired at a business in Saint-Leonard

A business in Montreal’s Saint-Leonard borough was the target of gunshots early Friday morning.

According to Montreal Police (SPVM), shots were fired towards the resto-bar located on Jarry Street, between du Creusot and Pascal-Gagnon, around 3:40 a.m.

“At the scene, police located the impacts on a window of the [business] in question, as well as shell casings on the ground,” said officer Jean-Pierre Brabant, who is a spokesperson for the SPVM.

Police reported no injuries.

A security perimeter was set up to protect the crime scene.

SPVM investigators will meet with witnesses and review images captured by nearby surveillance cameras in order to shed light on this event.

As of early Friday, SPVM reported no arrests in connection with the shooting.
