A 50-year-old man was in critical condition Saturday morning after falling from a building in Longueuil following a possible altercation.

The Longueuil Police (SPAL) arrived at 1836 Chemin de Chambly around 8:50 a.m. after a call to assist a man.

The victim was quickly taken into care after being seriously injured, said SPAL spokesperson François Boucher. His life is in danger.

Another man, also in his 50s, was arrested at the scene.

“An altercation could have caused this fall,” the spokesperson said.

An investigation is underway to establish and clarify the circumstances surrounding the event.
