Man dies after fatal skid in Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean

The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) confirmed on Saturday the death of a man in his 20s following a fatal skid at Ascension-de-Notre-Seigneur, in Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean.

The accident occurred shortly before 10 a.m., when the driver reportedly lost control of his vehicle “for an undetermined reason,” according to SQ reports.

The car reportedly rolled over several times before ending up in a ravine on the edge of 7e Rang Ouest.

The driver was unconscious when emergency services arrived and took him to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

An investigation is underway to better understand the circumstances surrounding this accident.
