A teenager is being treated as the main suspect in a violent altercation that left two people injured Monday evening in the Villeray-Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension borough.
Montreal Police (SPVM) spokesperson Manuel Couture says a 15-year-old boy was discovered with upper-body injuries on Saint-Michel Blvd., near Jarry Street.
That call came in roughly half an hour after police had already responded to another scene several blocks away.
Earlier in the evening, around 5:45 p.m., officers were sent to de Lille Street ,near Champdoré Street, where they found a man in his 50s suffering from serious wounds. Police believe he was stabbed.

Investigators say both incidents appear tied to a meeting for the sale of an unknown item.
Something sparked a fight among several people, though the cause of the confrontation remains unclear.
The teen and the man were taken to hospital, where both are listed in stable condition.
SPVM are investigating to determine exactly what happened.
