Montreal police (SPVM) are asking for the public’s help investigating a fatal hit-and-run case which occurred on Sept. 30 in Montreal’s Ville-Marie borough.
Police say at approximately 3:45 a.m., a black Audi RS5 vehicle travelling westbound on René-Lévesque Blvd. West allegedly struck a pedestrian at the intersection of Peel Street downtown. The victim, a man in his 50s, succumbed to injuries.
The driver fled without stopping, continuing westbound on René-Lévesque Blvd. before turning south on Lucien-L’Allier Street.
Police have released photos of what they believe the suspect’s vehicle looked like. However, they say the car may have been damaged on the front passenger side, including the bumper and rearview mirror.
