Five Montreal Victoire players selected to Canada’s 2026 Olympic women’s hockey team

Hockey Canada announced Friday that five members of the Montreal Victoire have earned spots on Canada’s women’s hockey roster for the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Milano Cortina, scheduled for Feb. 5 to 19.

Victoire captain Marie-Philip Poulin is set to appear in her fifth Olympic tournament. She will be joined by goaltender Ann-Renée Desbiens, forward Laura Stacey, and defencemen Erin Ambrose and Kati Tabin.

Montréal will also be represented behind the bench and in team support roles. Victoire head coach Caroline Ouellette, who also serves as an assistant coach with the club, has been named to Canada’s Olympic coaching staff. Strength and conditioning coach Vicky Bendus will hold the same position with Team Canada during the Games.

Canada opens its Olympic schedule against Finland on Feb. 5, with puck drop set for 3:10 p.m. ET at the Milano Rho Ice Hockey Arena.

The Victoire will recognize all of their Olympic participants during the club’s final home game before the Olympic break. The ceremony will take place Jan. 28 when Montréal hosts the Toronto Sceptres at 6:30 p.m. ET.
