19-year-old charged with manslaughter in connection to weekend homicide in Ville-Marie borough

Montreal police (SPVM) say a 19-year-old man has been charged with manslaughter in connection with the death of an 18-year-old in the Ville-Marie borough over the weekend.

SPVM said they received a 911 call around 1:45 a.m. Sunday about a person being injured in an apartment on Saint-André Street, near Ontario Street.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found the teen unconscious and suffering from upper-body injuries. He was taken to hospital, where he later died.

The victim has been identified in the accused’s charge sheet as Christopher Densky Damier.

SPVM spokesperson Caroline Chèvrefils confirmed his death is the third homicide in Montreal in 2026.

Through an investigation, the Major Crimes Unit took a 19-year-old man into custody in the Ville-Marie borough on Monday evening.

Massamba Fall was charged with manslaughter on Tuesday. The allegation against him has not been tested in court.
