“I still have hope for the team,” said one Montreal Canadiens fan after Montreal’s 8-3 loss to the Buffalo Sabres in Game 6 at the Bell Centre on Saturday night, forcing a decisive Game 7 in Buffalo. Adriana Gentile reports.

The playoff atmosphere outside the Bell Centre intensified Saturday night as fans packed the streets surrounding the arena for a massive Game 6 watch party between the Montreal Canadiens and the Buffalo Sabres.

With the game underway inside the Bell Centre, thousands of supporters gathered outdoors to watch the action on large screens set up downtown.

Fans wearing red, white and blue jerseys filled Avenue des Canadiens-de-Montréal, waving flags and cheering loudly with every scoring chance.

Chants of “Go Habs Go” echoed through the streets as supporters rallied behind Montreal in a potential series-clinching matchup.
