SPVM investigate after gunshot heard in Montreal’s Ahuntsic-Cartierville

Montreal police are investigating after a gunshot was reported late Monday night in the Ahuntsic-Cartierville borough.

Officers were called to the area of Henri-Bourassa Boulevard and Lajeunesse Street shortly after 11:30 p.m.

Police say a shell casing was found at the scene, but there was no evidence of a bullet striking a person or property.

No victims or suspects were located when officers arrived.

Investigators, including members of the SPVM’s K9 unit, are working to determine what happened and who may have been involved.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unknown.
