Person found dead in a Pointe-aux-Trembles pool: Montreal police

By News Staff

A person was found dead in a pool in Montreal’s Pointe-aux-Trembles neighbourhood on Monday morning.

Montreal police (SPVM) say a 911 call came in just before 11:10 a.m. to report a person unconscious in the pool of a residence on 43rd Ave, near Albéric-Gélinas Street.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found the body. They couldn’t confirm if it was a man or woman – or the age.

“The paramedics of Urgences-Santé, sadly, determined the death” said SPVM spokesperson Julien Lévesque.

Reportedly the home’s owner had been away and discovered the body upon their return. The home has a fence and it’s unclear how the person got in to access the yard.

A perimeter has been set up, and the investigation is ongoing.
