Production of ‘Riverdale’ suspended after key cast member was in contact with COVID-19 patient

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – Production on the locally shot hit series, ‘Riverdale’ has been suspended for the rest of the week because a key cast member has fallen ill.
According to Warner Brothers Television, a cast member who remains unidentified was recently in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
That person is now receiving medical evaluation.
According to a union representing crew members on @CW_Riverdale, the crew is going home & won’t be shooting for the rest of this week. A key cast member is not well. “There is wide speculation about this incident given [COVID-19]…we would urge caution when considering rumours.”

The show is now working with health authorities and contacting anyone who may have come in contact with the cast member.
The show which is shot all over Metro Vancouver is a Netflix adaptation of the popular ‘Archie’ comics.
