Masks mandatory as La Ronde amusement park reopens today

MONTREAL (CITYNEWS) – After being closed since May for safety reasons, La Ronde is reopening its doors this weekend to season-pass holders.
The park is taking security measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Guests will have their temperature taken at the park’s entrance and will need to wear a mask throughout their stay.
The only time guests will be exempt from removing their masks will be while eating or when inside the park’s designated mask-free zones.
The province of Quebec made masks mandatory in all indoor public spaces on July 18.
An online reservation system will manage the number of visitors allowed in each day to minimize exposure. That means thrill seekers can no longer show up and wait in line to get in, as is usually the case.
La Ronde will reopen its doors to non-season-pass holders on Aug. 3.
