Quebec to announce new measures for education and sports

QUEBEC – Premier François Legault is expected to announce new measures for education and sports in ‘red zones’ on Monday.

Legault, and ministers Jean-François Roberge, along with Isabelle Charest, Delegate Education Minister & Responsible for the Status of Women, Higher Education Minister Danielle McCann, and Dr. Richard Massé, Public Health epidemiologist will be on hand for a 1:00 p.m. news conference.

This comes as Quebec recorded its fourth straight day of cases over 1,000. Officials reported 1,191 new cases on Monday, the highest single-day total since the beginning of the pandemic.

Later in the day, Premier Legault will hold another press conference at 5:00 p.m., with Health Minister‬ Christian Dubé, Quebec Public Health Director Dr. Horacio Arruda, and Éric Caire, Minister of Government Digital Transformation.
