Adele teases new song, video reportedly directed in Quebec by Xavier Dolan

Adele and Quebec filmmaker Xavier Dolan have reportedly teamed up once again.

Nearly six years after releasing her album “25” the British singer teased a new song on her social media Wednesday.

The 21-second black-and-white video for “Easy On Me” was posted to Adele’s Instagram. The song is expected to be released Oct. 15.

Internet rumours dating back to late last month suggested Adele was in Quebec’s Eastern Townships shooting the video. Those same rumours − and a report by La Presse − say Dolan directed the music video.

The short snippet shows Adele inserting a cassette into a car stereo and driving down a country road.

This would not be the first time Adele and Dolan collaborated. The pair joined forces in 2015 on the video for the singer’s smash hit “Hello.”

Eastern Townships residents took to social media in September to say they believed they saw Adele.

Neither Adele nor Dolan’s teams have confirmed the collaboration.

The single “Easy On Me” will likely be followed up with a new album entitled “30.”
