Montreal snow loading operations begin Tuesday

By Alyssia Rubertucci & CityNews staff

The city of Montreal will start snow loading operations Tuesday morning, after some Quebec regions saw 10-30cm of snowfall Monday.

Snow clearing began Monday on the city’s 10,000km of streets, sidewalks and bike paths. Over 1,000 city workers and 2,200 snow removal trucks are out on the roads.

Snow loading will be prioritized at hospitals, the public transit network and main arteries.

The city says be patient, as the operation could take the full week to complete.

They are asking citizens to pay attention to parking restriction signs on the street and to park 30cm away from the sidewalk, to facilitate clearing.

Information on real-time clearing and removal operations can be found on infoneige.ca.
