Old Montreal ready for Grand Prix

Montreal is getting decked out for Grand Prix – with the big race on Sunday and festivities kicking off later this week.

The décor is up and the doors open to welcome F1 fans.

Checkered flags and more down at Place-Jacques Cartier in the Old Port.

Tourists already descending on the city.

Many in the hotel and restaurant industry calling this their most important week in the last two years – hoping to recoup some losses due to the ongoing pandemic.

It’s the first Canadian Grand Prix since 2019.

The race is set for 2 p.m. at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve on June 19.
