Montreal’s Crescent Street comes alive with sounds of the Grand Prix

“For me, it’s the kickoff of the summer,” says Max Lalonde, spokesperson for the Crescent Street Grand Prix Festival, encouraging all Montrealers to make a pit stop at the festivities happening during the Grand Prix. Pamela Pagano reports.

One of the first major signs that summer is around the corner and a return to normal is here, this weekend’s Canadian Grand Prix – and it all starts today!

Montreal Formula 1 fans will be flocking to the Crescent street festival, for decades one of the premier destination during GP weekend.

Ever since 1999, the three-day festival (June 16-18) transforms the street into a free venue for race aficionados, tourists and local fans to celebrate the biggest race in Canada. There’s something for everyone.
