Boil water advisory for sector of Pierrefonds-Roxboro

By News Staff

A boil water advisory is still in effect for Pierrefonds-Roxboro on Thursday.

It was issued on Wednesday, due to work caused by a water main break on Pierrefonds Blvd. Crews are currently on site working to repair it.

The sector affected is located on Pierrefonds Blvd., between Saint-Charles Blvd. and de Nanterre street – as well as between Guillaume street and Émile-Nelligan street.

Residents must boil their water for at least one minute before consuming it or using it to brush their teeth. Unboiled drinking water may be used for personal hygiene or other purposes.

The borough says citizens affected by this interruption will receive water at their residents on Friday June 24, at noon, if the situation is not resolved by then.

A drop in water pressure or water interruptions are to be expected during the repair work.

The boil water advisory is in effect until further notice. As soon as the situation is restored, a notice of return to normal will be issued.

For more information, citizens are invited to consult the city’s website or to contact 311.
