Longueuil fire leaves two dead, one in critical condition

Two people died in a fire at a Longueil home, on Montreal’s south shore, early Thursday morning.
Police confirming their bodies were officially found later in the afternoon.
One of the home’s occupants was brought to a Montreal burn unit in critical condition.

Four people lived in the residence on Cuvillier street east, but only two escaped when a blaze broke out around 7 a.m.
The flames prevented firefighters from properly accessing the homes second floor – and the size of the blaze forced them out.
It’s still unclear what caused the fire.
