One dead, three injured in three overnight shootings in Montreal

One person is dead and three others have been injured following three shootings in Montreal, overnight.

Montreal police say they were called to Pointe-Saint-Charles around 11 p.m. Wednesday night after receiving reports of a conflict involving multiple people.

Officers say when they arrived, they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were transported to hospital in critical condition.

Just over an hour later, officers with SPVM said they were called to a shooting that occurred at a bar at Dollard Avenue and Saguenay Street, in Lasalle.

Police believe shots were fired from a moving vehicle towards the bar, adding no injuries were reported.

Around 2 a.m. SPVM were called to a third shooting, near Ronald Street and Avon Street in Montreal West.

When officers arrived at the scene they found two people suffering from gunshot wounds in a car.

The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene and the passenger was taken to hospital in critical condition.

At this time it is not known if the three shootings are related in any way or if they are all separate incidents.
