Wellington street in Verdun, ranked coolest in the world

Montrealers loving Verdun will be happy to hear Wellington street has been named the coolest street in the world by Time Out Magazine.

20,000 people who were surveyed by Time Out voted for Wellington street in Verdun. Time Out polls thousands of city-dwellers worldwide yearly to discover the coolest places to live, work and play, this year asking specifically which streets they think are the coolest.

Wellington is one of 10 pedestrian only streets in Montreal during the summer, with installations and activities for everyone to enjoy, including live music, a free puppet festival and swings.

No other Canadian city had a street named in Time Out’s top 10.

No one can argue their love for Verdun, the neighborhood was also voted the 11th coolest neighborhood in the world in Time Out Magazine’s poll in 2020.
