He allegedly seriously injured his girlfriend, the bride and her father on Saturday night during a wedding reception in St-Pie, about 76 km east of Montreal.

Loder is also accused of having assaulted these same people as well as another guest.

According to TVA Nouvelles, Loder would have first fought with his 31-year-old girlfriend, before going to get a knife and then coming back to attack her with the weapon.

He then turned to the 30-year-old bride and her 54-year-old father, stabbing her in the back and the latter in the chest. He then fled on foot.

He was finally located and arrested around 2 a.m. on Sunday morning.

Despite self-inflicted injuries, he refused to be transported to hospital.
