They’re promising, among other things, to improve access to healthcare, namely continuing renovations on the Maisonneuve Rosemont hospital.

They also plan to promote projects focused on the development of public transit in the region and ensure work continues on the blue line extension.

Investing in public safety and collaborating with community organizations are also at the top of their list.

“For each dollar that we invest on, to support the police forces that we believe is important and was actually a proposal from the Quebec Liberal Party in the past, we propose to put the equivalent $1 in prevention towards our community organizations,” said Cadet.

“It’s extremely important for us to be able to act beforehand, to act and see this issue from a global perspective, rather than only act at the very end in the way that we saw the government of la CAQ.”

The candidates also slamming the incumbent CAQ government for what they say is a lack of action in the face of gun violence in the city’s east end.
