Good Grief Central, we’re a nonprofit organization and we depend on the kindness of people, obviously to at our fundraising season, which is next month. And what we do is we offer groups, we offer one on one counseling. But to get to what you were asking about the groups starting the fifth and then the 12th. Yes, it’s – You know, we’re heading into the holiday season. It’s a very trying time for people. Not everybody is happy and excited. So this is when, we’re you know, our groups are full.
What is the importance of grieving?
Well, you know, for each person, it’s different. But the importance of being able to tell your story and being listened to helps you with the process yourself. Every time you tell your story, you hear something else. Because especially with fresh grief, we go back and forth, back and forth, trying to figure out what happened. It’s shocking. And so every time you tell your story, a little more gets processed. And if you’re among people in a group and you hear other people’s stories, too, you don’t feel as isolated and as alone as if I think I’m the only one that feels that way.
