“All Iranians are trying to protest against Islamic Republic, and we want the world to hear our voice. That’s why we need freedom. We need justice,” said an Irainian-Montrealer in attendance.
The protestors, while standing in solidarity with those in Iran, are also calling for change in the Iranian government, one of democracy.
“They want to be free. They need a democratic democracy in their country. So we are gathering to give voice to them,”

For most participating the common sentiment was the demand that their voices finally be heard.
“It’s time for the world to hear our voices, and it’s time for the world to stand with us because it doesn’t matter where we are from. We’re humans at the end of the day, and we’re supporting each other,”
