Pair of CF-18s to fly over Montreal Alouettes home game Saturday

Montrealers may notice a pair of military aircraft flying overhead on Saturday.

As part of the Montreal Alouettes final home game of the regular season, two CF-18 fighter jets will fly over Percival Molson Memorial Stadium to honour members of the Canadian Armed Forces.

The Alouettes will be taking on the number one seed Toronto Argonauts starting at 4 p.m.

The CF-18s are expected to fly by the stadium at 4:04 p.m. with a return flight at 4:08 p.m. and will pass over homes near the stadium.

The Canadian Armed Forces appreciation game is deeply routed in Alouettes football, as the team was originally named after the 425 Tactical Fighter Squadron, the first French-Canadian Squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Force known for its tenacity and dedication.
