Man stabbed in Montreal’s Chinatown area

A man in his 30s died after he was stabbed just before 10 p.m. in Chinatown, in downtown Montreal, on Sunday night.
He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, but succumb to his injuries on Monday.
Once authorities arrived on the scene, at the corner of Clark and de la Gauchetière, they located the victim stabbed at least once in the upper body.
SPVM spokesperson Jean-Pierre Brabant, says it appears an altercation escalated and the man was attacked.
A 31-year-old male suspect fled on foot, but was located and arrested near the scene.
Street closures were in effect as police officers conducted their investigation.
