Two men arrested for killing animals in Omega Park

A man in his 20s and a man in his 40s have been arrested for allegedly breaking and entering and killing animals in captivity at Parc Omega in Montebello.

They face a number of charges related to animal cruelty, breaking and entering and fire arm possession.

Last Thursday November 10, at around 9:30 p.m. a security guard at Parc Omega called 911 after hearing gunshots.

Once provincial police arrived on the scene they located the carcasses of three wild boars and one elk in the vehicle driven by the men.

Police also seized fire arms.

The investigation is ongoing.
