Laval police have charged six men believed to be connected to a string of vehicle thefts.
Police say the investigation began in September after officers were able to find common factors in various vehicle thefts in Montreal, Laval and the North Shore.
During the investigation, police say they were able to determine roughly 13 vehicles, mostly Dodge Ram and Dodge Grand Caravans, were taken for the purpose of overseas exportation.
It is believed that once the suspects stole the vehicles, they would leave them in a parking lot for a few days before returning and taking them to the Port of Montreal. Once at the port, they were loaded into shipping containers.
Since September, police were able to seize 11 vehicles, a boat, a watercraft, six trailers, roughly $48,000 in Canadian and American dollars, 53 sports tires and some other vehicle-related items.
