A 35-year-old Quebec man considered one of Canada’s most wanted fugitives was arrested in Mexico and extradited to Canada after more than a year on the run.
Provincial police had been searching for Blake Charbonneau of Laval, Que., on a number of sex-related offenses and had listed him in the national Bolo program, which uses social media and billboards to encourage the public to be on the lookout.
A $50,000 reward had been posted for information on his whereabouts.

Police provided no details on his arrest in Mexico, including when it took place, but said he was initially flown to Toronto.
Once there, he was transferred into the custody of the force’s Anti-Sexual Exploitation Taskforce.
Police say Charbonneau will travel to Quebec City to face charges of sexual assault, sexual assault with a weapon, aggravated sexual assault, obtaining sexual services for a fee, including to minors and pimping.
