Montrealers continue to protest the brutality of the Iranian regime

As the Islamic regime continues its violent crackdown on pro-democracy protesters in Iran, Montreal's Iranian community and their supporters continue to rally and march to defend basic human rights of Iranians.

Montreal’s Iranian community gathered at Phillips Square in Downtown Montreal to support ongoing protests in Iran.

They are urging the U.S., Canada, and European countries to officially recognize the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps – a branch of Iran’s armed forces – as a terrorist organization.

As the Islamic regime continues its violent crackdown on pro-democracy protestors in Iran, those from the Iranian community and their supporters outside the country continue to organize rallies and marches in solidary with Iranian protestors.

According to human rights groups, more than 500 protestors have been killed and about 19,000 Iranians arrested since protests demanding basic human rights began in that country following the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini after her arrest and brutal beating by the morality police.
