St-Leonard home targeted by gunfire

A home in St-Leonard was targeted by gunshots Monday night.

Calls coming into 911 around 10:15 p.m. after gunfire was heard on Albanel street, near Thierry.

When Montreal police arrived on the scene, they found shell casings on the ground and a bullet hole in a window of a residence.

There were occupants in the home, but no one was injured. They were met by police.

According to initial information, a suspect fired the shots and fled on foot before officers arrived.

A perimeter was setup and investigators and forensic identification technicians were onsite, as well as a canine unit called to the scene to assist in the search for evidence.

No arrests have been made yet.

This was at least the fourth time in just under two weeks that gunshots were fired at a building in Montreal.
