Suspicious death of 71-year-old man in Rosemont—La Petite-Patrie

Montreal police are investigating the death of a 71-year-old man whose body was found unresponsive in a home in Rosemont—La Petite-Patrie Friday evening.
Officers from the SPVM were called around 9 p.m. to an apartment on 4th Avenue. Police found the man’s body. He was declared dead at the scene.
Police said Saturday the death was considered “possibly suspicious.”
“There may be marks of violence on the body,” SPVM spokesperson Jeanne Drouin said.
Drouin could not confirm if the man’s death was criminal in nature.
