Gunshots and a stabbing in downtown Montreal

Montreal police are investigating two incidents Sunday night, a stabbing near Atwater metro and gunfire at Mansfield and Belmont.
The first event happened around 8 p.m. on Atwater near de Maisonneuve, when a 38-year-old man was stabbed.
He was transported to the hospital with injuries to his upper body. His life is not in danger.
Gunshots downtown
A few hours later, also in the Ville-Marie borough, gunshots were heard.
Police were called to Mansfield and Belmont near Central Station downtown at around 10 p.m.
Once on the scene, officers found bullet casings, but no victims or suspects were located.
An investigation is ongoing in both cases and no arrests have been made so far.
