Montreal police are setting up a command post in their search for a 26-year-old man who’s been missing for more than two weeks.
“We are deploying the command post in an attempt to reach out to the public to gather as much information as possible for the investigation,” explained Véronique Dubuc, SPVM spokesperson.
Sridhar Nidammanuri went missing April 21. He was last seen in the Ville-Marie borough.

He is described as approximately five-foot-eight and 176 pounds with black hair, brown eyes and speaks English.
He was last seen wearing a red t-shirt with white stripes and grey short pants.
“He’s a very ambitious guy, and he’s very calculative,” said Swathi Buddhiraju, community member. “He don’t have any bad habits or drugs.”
The Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) says it is setting up the command post to meet members of the public in the hopes of learning more.
The command post will be at the intersection of De Maisonneuve W. and Guy Street – where Nidammanuri was last seen – Wednesday at 1 p.m.
Investigators are urging anyone with information to come forward.
“We’re asking the people, the public, if there is anyone who has information or any witnesses of this disappearance, they can come and meet with the investigator at the command post,” said Dubuc.
A March also took place Wednesday afternoon in hopes of spreading more awareness of Nidammanuri’s disappearance, the crowd chanting words of encouragement in hopes that someone with information comes forward.
Buddhiraju adding, “I request everyone to help cooperate with the police. And if they know even single information on the night, what, on the Friday night, whatever has happened. If they know, please reach out to the police.”
